I really wish online places could give you a more accurate description of what lenses would look like before you purchase them. Now I'm ready for the next Game of Thrones book.

And the worst part occurred on Facebook: My father's current wife informed me that she and my dad liked them.

From your comments here and elsewhere, I take it you're not so sure you like the way they look or how they feel on your head?

I wish I could see the way the frames looked before I purchased them. That's all. Zenni Optical's prices are reasonable, but they can't provide the same experience you'd get when you can try on the frames at the optometrist's office.

I have such an odd-shaped face that I really need to do it in person to be sure a pair will fit, be comfortable, not give me MCS triggers (yes that actually happened once), and fill enough of my field of vision so I can see my whole computer screen at once or see the whole movie screen at once in theaters, or see the whole TV at once, etc.

I've only needed glasses for reading in the past. My problem with selecting frames usually involves finding frames large enough to fit my head.

My housemate, however, had this to say: "The 60s called. They want their frames back."

You said you read my comments elsewhere. The only other place I posted the picture was Facebook. Does that mean you can still access your page?

No, alas. Either I saw your post there before my account was closed or I imagined I saw your comments elsewhere. Or I'm confusing you with someone else who has just ordered something online that didn't turn out as expected. My cognitive processes — not all that reliable to begin with — have been extremely muddled since the (temporary, I hope) loss of my fb, and I've been making more than the usual amount of cognitive errors in the past two days. I was complaining about this last night on tumblr:

But I can order another pair for a fairly low price and get one that I like more.
