 Note to self: in the future when trying to set boundaries, tell each party individually that you won't let them talk behind each other's backs, rather than putting the status as a family message on Facebook.  This is a public service announcement brought to you by Lara's complete lack of social skills.

Oh dear, I'm sorry that didn't go so well. Yeah, I've had problems with people getting upset by receiving a general announcement rather than a personal message about such things. Next time I have to set boundaries of a similar nature, I'll go to each of them individually. I may, after doing so, make a general announcement, but probably not.

It seems I'm far less diplomatic when I'm trying to be diplomatic. Should have gone in with the typical bluntness that is the norm within my family.

I'm not sure if this will serve as a learning experience or a mistake I will repeat many more times in the future. I just thought a single Facebook message would be more efficient.

I'm laughing now because I realized my blunder as soon as I got an accusatory message. At least I'm laughing at myself right now. I'm not sure the intended targets of this message will see it as a the blunder of someone who has very poor social skills.

I'm sorry things didn't work out this time. And I know what you mean: because of brain fog, it's entirely likely I'll screw up in a similar manner in the future, despite learning better from mistakes. *sigh*
