I've also managed to experience one of the most obvious examples of mansplaining today. I had taken a computer apart for a lab and nearly put it back together, when someone felt the need to tell me I was doing it the wrong way. Despite my objections -- that they weren't that way before -- he continued. He was confident when I set them up his way, but the machine wouldn't turn on.
Now, I wasn't right when I did it either, but I knew he wasn't right. It took referring to the Asus manual for this machine to get it working again.
