I've long ago realized that the people administering these programs simply just don't care about a person's circumstances. Either a person qualifies or they do not. After so long, they stop caring about the plight of their clients and simply go through the motions until they can collect retirement.

It does not mean that it is fair to people facing this situation, however. I experience a mixture of anger, frustration, and sadness going trying to meet the requirements of the program. Being transgender and having a disability makes trying to find a job harder. I'm going to be even angrier if the Indiana house representative for my district claims he got people off the welfare roles through the IMPACT program.
