Dental appointment got moved to this morning

The dental clinic had an opening and was able to fit me in this morning. I found this out last night, and agreed to come in.  It was a mixture of both good and bad news. The good news is it's not any nerve running through that area causing the pain. The bad news is that my final set of wisdom teeth need pulled.

I'm seeing -- or fighting with them if you prefer -- to get them to cover wisdom teeth extraction as a medical necessity. I've spent a good deal of time with them on the phone today.

It certainly *is* a medical necessity: those things could get seriously infected!

If need be, I'll have the local dental clinic take them out, but I was hoping to do sedation dentistry. (I've got one bad memory of having a tooth pulled with a dentist who used Novacaine.) It seems that if it was an accident or if the tooth were infected, the insurance company would consider it to be a medical necessity.

I'm not sure why, but I went into my room to sulk for a bit and ended up crying a bit.
