I'm still pretty sure Time Machine is much nicer. I would not be surprised, however, if Time Machine is just a GUI interface that runs this through the command line tools provided by Mac OS X.

I was going to put this in downloadable form through an FTP server, but I decided against this. Anyone can copy and paste this script into an editor. I'll probably write another script/program that adds the Crontab lines for the user.

But I can talk for hours about computers. I spend my day with nerds who prefer not to talk to me or overrule me until it becomes clear I know what I'm talking about. *sigh.*
