The Quakers bought their land. Whether or not they treated the people who lived there first fairly, which I doubt they did, is an entirely different issue.

Too bad I'm pretty sure that the Miami were forcibly expelled from the area where I live now.

I'm sure they didn't treat them fairly, and I wouldn't at all be surprised if the purchase itself was a swindle.
